Information concerning the activites of the Anti-Doping Centre in relation to COVID-19

Dear All,

As everyone is aware, our Government declared a total state of emergency, because of the increased risks concerning the COVID-19 pandemic. Presently, all sports activities in the country have been cancelled or postponed until 29 March.

BULNADO strictly respects all requirements imposed by the Government, in regard to individual discipline, personnel movement, social distancing and risk minimisation precautions. We have temporally suspended or rescheduled our educational programs and testing up to end of March. Still, the staff of the Antidoping Centre would continue its activities, specially processing intelligence information. Our experts could perform online education on request. When needed, doping testing would still be conducted, being carried out with maximum safety for protecting both the athletes and the doping control officers.

We would like to remind that athletes, who are included in the different Registered Testing Pools (of any IF or of the BULNADO) are still required to strictly update their whereabouts information, as required.

Presently, the protection of the health of the athletes and anti-doping personnel is our primary mission.
